“Thinking Up Stories”
For ages 7-10
This workshop attempts to re-engage children with stories, reading them and writing their own, which will also help them increase their range of interpretations and imagination, and enable them to articulate and organise their ideas better.
The workshop will lead them to understanding components of a story by breaking it down into the elements that make up a story, such as character, plot, setting etc. This will aid the participants with reading and understanding stories better, whether in classrooms, or while reading their favourite books.
Using a mix of exciting theatre games and fun writing exercises, the participants will realize that no moment is truly ‘boring’- there are stories just waiting to be thought up!
Duration: 2.5 hours
